Description: Water in the curvaceous river was probably making better time than I was. The GPS said my ground speed was as slow as a westbound train (not including derailment). It was late afternoon and I had a long way to go, but not enough fuel to get there. I decided to divert to an airport just south of Atlanta. It wasn’t exactly on my planned path to middle Tennessee, but it was likely to be shorter than running out of gas.

Indeed I did, Bruno. It probably caused the tail wheel to go flat.
