Description:
Arrival at London (CYXU) two hours after leaving Port Clinton was anticlimactic. The Canadian Customs crew didn’t even bother to come out and check out the SeaRey. I was in and that was that.
That time was pretty late. A quick calculation showed (1) I didn’t have enough fuel to reach Midland without refueling, and, (2) I didn’t have enough daylight to get there either. Something had to give.
It was me. I gave up, called John D. and got permission to “crash” at his place.

Dan, John and I were at this spot on Lake Erie yesterday. It was so incredibly calm and is one of the very few times we'll ever be able to practice glassy water landings on the Great Lakes.

How about the turbidity along the shore, Dennis. Did it disappear with the wind, leaving that beautifully blue water?

Yes, it did and the view was amazing. The wind did manage to pick up from the NE later that day to make our trip home a long one.

Dan, did you happen to notice a big wind farm along the shore east of Pelee Island? It was under construction the last time I was there. It looked like Canada wanted to take off.
