I see you've already got a lot of the hard work done! I've finally got back to my kayak project. I'm determined to get it done this winter, while I'm tearing apart the SeaRey in the garage for another bunch of changes! Here's the deck in process.      Attachments:

Must be something about Searey people and small wooden boats...<br />Envious of all your gear Dennis, my clamps are slightly more primitive, all I could get in Bali, but it all came out OK. 18 foot Polynesian style sailing canoe...when its finished, but Searey taking priority.      Attachments:

Very cool Marty. Bali? I noticed the unique surroundings! If I had to do this in Bali, I don't think I'd care about the gear. All my efforts take place in my basement durring the cold winter months. My boat will be an 18' sea kayak when it's done.

That looks really nice, Dennis!!! Those kayaks look so cool. Yes, the frame was a challenge, especially coming out of raw lumber that needed to be sorted and ripped to size. Keeping everything squared up and plumb was interesting, too. I never build anything from scratch like this before. Once the plywood is on, things will be much easier. I was originally going to build a cold molded 20 ft barrelback inboard. Really glad I downsized to this.

What kind of panel are you going to install, Roberta? All glass or steam gages?

Hi, Dan!! Well, I'm not sure!! It will have a GPS speedometer with heading indicator, a tach, volt meter, water pressure gage, and fuel gage, but they will be analog.
