Description: Aiport is very private...but I pulled my BUC into the bay to eat at Barnicle Phils...I miss not landing in the salt, but I don't miss the maintenance...so I fly over all the salt and land in the lakes or above the Caloosahatchee Locks.

So Wayne, I take it that you didn't land here to visit Barnicle Phil's due to the salt water? If one did land, the beach on the West side of the strip looks like a convenient walk to Phil's?<!-- >'"><br><font color=red size=6>' or &gt; missing in user HTML.     You're correct, Frank...I no longer land in the water there...when I flew my BUC , the best place to pull up to eat at Barnicle Phil's is a small beach area in the bay to the right side (looking at the picture)of the boat docks...it is a gradual fairly hard sandy bottom...I would put the wheels down and drive right up...The man that owed that small piece of beach is a retired Delta pilot..he told me I could pull up there anytime...his last name is Biggs...

Opps!... sorry Frank...looking again at the picture...it's the OTHER right side :-)...or LEFT of the docks( when looking at the picture)...it looks like a little cove on the picture)..<br />In other words, if you are taxiing into the small bay pull up on the small beach to the right of the docks...<br />

While I have your attention, Frank...when I went to get Mogas at Page yesterday I noticed a Searey in a tie-down spot next to the pumps...didn't get the number...but noticed a 'daffy duck ' on the tail...do you know who the plane belongs to???

I think it might be Randy Wilder's. Not sure. He's up in JAX area but comes down here occasionally.<!-- >'"><br><font color=red size=6>' or &gt; missing in user HTML. Please fix the HTML.</font> -->

Right again, Frank... The beach is big enough to pull completely out of the water...but that's about it...there is occassional golf cart traffic through the area...I have also pulled up on the beach on the bay side...never had any problems with the local home owners
