Description: I first saw a picture of Fort Jefferson and the Dry Tortugas shortly after the kit arrived. I was struck by one of those rare moments of clarity, with a vision that we would one day fly our new airplane there. That vision stayed in mind during the long evenings in the hangar, as the SeaRey slowly came together. Landing at the Dry Tortugas 3 years later was the realization of that dream.

That's really cool, Dave! I suppose many of us have had those SeaRey visions--and it's great that you've been able to realize yours.

That's awesome Dave, glad your dream was realized. This flight is on my bucket list as well, and my being only a hundred miles or so north of Key West it should be doable. Thanks for your tour photos and tips. BTW I think I saw a flight of two departing Runway 31 at KFMY, could that have been you guys?<!-- >'"><br><font color=red size=6>' or &gt; missing in user HTML.     Thanks! We took off as a flight of two from KFMY on 31 on the afternoon of Friday, April 1, after flying up from Marathon Key. Perhaps it was us you saw! We noticed another SeaRey on the ramp there - is it yours?

No Dave, mine was tucked away in it's hanger awaiting it's annual inspection, now <br />underway.
