Nice little house. Are they drainage canals along the turf strip?

Yes, Frank. The field is actually located about a mile from the everglades...the field is crowned and has a built in drainage system along with hardened substrate to ensure smooth landings. I sold my Cherokee 6-300 to a guy on this field...he gave me flying priveleges for a while...Great field to operate on..but don't be caught out in the warm summer nights...or you will be flying with a dozen more wings than necessary in the cockpit.

Bats or birds? We had a Thunderbird F-16 take a bird during the airshow a couple of weeks ago...audience didn't know and he landed safely but never fun over a crowd and below 500'.

At least bats and birds don't usually bite....mosquitoes...they swarmed in when I got into the plane and they ARE a distraction on a night take-off.
