Arrival in Mexico is greeted by a flurry of documents. Arrival of an airplane by boat generates enough paper to provide confetti for several NY parades. I was told that the paper ends up in a giant warehouse whose foundation is cracking. I believe it. Attachments:

Great pictures of Cabo Dan. Sorry we are going to miss you by a couple of days.Did you
do any landings at MMSD.....the bigger airport to the north of town.Guess you see why
most of the population is around the very south of the peninsula. We are only 60 miles
north, but the prevailing north winds through Dec...Jan and part of Feb are the windsurfers
dream...but not conducive to SeaRey fun.

I can confirm those winds, Dave. We were north of your place on Isla Espiritu Santo and they were howling!

Like most airports, the Cabo San Lucas airport (MMSL) is not a high rent district. “The people are poor, but they are happy because they have jobs,” the Airport Manager assured me.

At the other side of the airport, on the beach, the neighbors are not poor, but hopefully they aren’t unhappy. The Airport Manager told me Sammy Hagar has a house out here. He has a jet at the airport and a club, Cabo Wabo, in town. Attachments:

The yacht’s step child is in launch position. Only the lateness of the day and the state of sea held her to the deck. Attachments:

Just north of the rocky end of the peninsula is a serious beach butting up against a serious desert. Attachments:

Could almost be 'our beach'. You can quad for miles, and not see a soul. Just whales off
shore. Pretty spectacular.

The Pacific shore is not all soft sand. There are plenty of hard patches. Attachments:

SeaReys have the advantage of a higher perspective in following whales in the cold, clear water. Attachments:

That's better. In the shot above, the poor whale must have felt crowded.

There are two beaches at land’s end. One is the lover’s beach of marriage. The other is the lawyer’s beach of dissolution. Take your love to one and you’ll be married within a year. Visit the other and you’ll be separated within the year. I couldn’t figure out which was which, so I just avoided them both. Attachments:

With a marina full of yachts, it is only logical to locate a high end mall along side. I forgot to pack underwear. I bought two at the mall for $60. Later I found 2 for $4 a block away. Attachments:

That's a close call, Chris. I'm hoping to fly the SeaRey to LA on the 6th.
