Description: Rob Richardson splashed in for lunch today on his way home from Florida to Maryland. It's the 'Maryland' SeaRey, by the way--patterned after the state flag

Unfortunately, it was during an unusually low tide, and my instructions for taxiing ashore turned out to be less helpful than I'd hoped. The result was that coming in Rob missed the SeaRey channel I've dredged and almost got stuck. In the end it seemed best to tie him up to the buoy, rather than risk his being stuck here for several hours until the tide came back in.

Don, did you make the poor man swim ashore?!

Jerry! You injure me. What kind of rinky-dink operation do you think we run here! <I>Of course</I> I picked him up and delivered him with the Large Marge Party Barge and Self-Propelled Seaplane Tender. <P><img src="inline/20029-LargeMarge_sm.jpg" alt="LargeMarge-sm"><P>Only, the self-propelled part wasn't working, so he had help to paddle. Also, there were two kayaks aboard, and we kept falling over them--well, I did. Rob seemed to be better coordinated. I've decided to install an electric motor for reliability and forget about trying to breathe life back into the 5 hp 1946 Johnson Seahorse.<!-- >'"><br><font color=red size=6>' or &gt; missing in user HTML.     You want to sell that Johnson Seahorse?

Nope! It's a great motor. Finding parts is hard, though.
