Description: The fog lifted early, but a temporary tire fix took the morning. By noon the wind was blowing our tassels away. So what? It’s all relative in the air. And the gales promised an epic headwind. More air time! Excellent!

What a day for the beach! The wind was too strong for casual beachgoers, leaving it wide open for SeaReys. And there being nothing but thousands of miles of water to cross, the wind was not particularly violent. Attachments:

The path to the beach was yellow. The Gorse bush is pretty…pretty sticky with its thorns. Attachments:

A golf course on the beach is pretty…pretty much unplayable when the wind howls. Attachments:

After the fog patch was passed, it was clear to get back to the beach. Attachments:

With no beachgoers, getting low over the dunes only bothered the sand flies, and even they weren't flying in the howling wind. Attachments:

Getting down with the weeds wasn’t bad on a day like this. Ground speed? A fast walk. Sometimes. Attachments:

There were lots of open fields in case an emergency landing was required, but they were full of stumps. “The key is to steer between them on your way down the hill.”

Nope. That’s not the key. The key is not to have to make an emergency landing. The key is to just “fly on”! Attachments:

    Dan,
Thank you for sharing this adventure. The water is on the wrong side but certainly beautiful.
