Description:
About 50 miles South of Fort Myers (KFMY) is the Everglades Airpark (K01). Not much here, but they have 100LL and a 2300' Strip. A call to the Everglades City Rod and Gun Club will bring a prompt pickup for lunch. Established in 1864 it's worth the tour if not the food or prices. Presidents Hoover, FDR, Truman and Eisenhower visited here, as did a number of film stars. It's still elegant and photogenic. My right seater rolled a couple of pool balls on this table said to be a favorite of Teddy Roosevelt.

Very nice day trip, Frank. Is Everglades City still a mosquito reserve in February?
