Description:
Heidi's 16, and through all of last year she underwent heavy cancer treatment - and she's back on track! When she started her treatment in january last year, we promised her a trip to the US when she would again be up to it. That time is now! We leave on an early morning flight tomorrow (our time) and will arrive Miami in the afternoon (Florida time). We plan to go via Key West, up the West Coast and over to her relative at Phoenix Aviation in Daytona Beach before we move on from Miami on the 26th. If someone would take her up, she'd love to try the SeaRey experience :-)

Thank you very much for your generostity and invitations, Don, Ken, Phil and Wayne! We are quite <br />overwhelmed and can't possibly cover all bases :-) Now we'll first have to complete our involuntary <br />layover at Disneyland in France - sleep awaits, and then Miami Beach tomorrow afternoon.

Everyone here: thanks a lot, and personally I'd love to visit all of you! However, Heidi is quite exhausted <br />from our long and troubled travel to get here, so we are taking it easy from here on. Will get in touch <br />again if our 'guest of honor' again seems inclined to have more fun!

Our stay in Florida ends tomorrow. We have come to understand that Heidi is more impaired after her <br />extensive surgery and high-intensity chemotherapy last year than we imagined. Relaxing in Miami Beach <br />seems to be the best thing for her - interrupted only by a trip to Key Largo / Key West and yesterdays <br />shopping spree at Sawgrass Mills Center. Tomorrow, NYC awaits.<br />We'd love to fly up the Hudson with Eric, if timing and weather allows.
