Description: It was a lovely early autumn afternoon, and all the air was blowing straight up and straight down. At the upper left is Richmond, Virginia, and at upper right, Richmond International Airport. In the center, it's power to the people. The water is various parts of the James River.

Very cool Don. I grew up at the Chesterfield Co. Airport. My dad flew banners and did some sky writing. I
was ground crew. Not sure I would recognize the area from the air anymore but I do remember the
smoke stacks.

Tim, you might come back for a visit and get reacquainted. Chesterfield County Airport is trying to become Richmond Executive Airport (which annoys most of us pilots no end). Carol and I live more or less on the numbers of what used to be runway 26 of the old Hopewell Airport, which was closed around 1980.

I like your set up on the James River Don. My sister is still in Richmond (in Bon Aire). We will be back up
that way next year (early Spring). We would love to splash in and see you and Carol. Might even have
to tell some old 'war stories' of my Dad's colorful 'discussions' with the old Chesterfield County Airport
Authority! I learned a whole new way to communicate :-)
