Wayne, SPA just named Troy Wheeler as the Georgia field director. I exchanged emails last week with
Troy and it sounds like we are close to a trial period for seaplane ops on Lake Lanier.

Will that make all those splash-and-goes by transient seaplanes retroactively legal?

Wayne Nagy - Oct 07,2013 Viewers | Reply

I have enjoyed many local splash and goes on the north end of the lake, no boat traffic? No problem!
The lake is like a bath tub on the south end in the summer. I think will will show the corps good
judgement and safe behavior in the trial period. No doubt local lakeside business will benefit from the
strange boats from the sky.
