Not a photo trip. Focus on getting Puff back. Only break out the camera for exceptional stuff. Well, a swamp is exceptional. Why? Because it is such a rich place. Because it is a good place to be over rather than in. Attachments:

Why a palm circle? Okay, well, when was the last time you saw one. Around a cul-de-sac? Sure, but lying around with their guts ripped out? That’s different. Attachments:

Not another swamp photo? Yes, this isn’t so much swamp as almost wet land. So? Well, someone took a lot of time to make such nice tracks. It seems such a shame not to show them off. Attachments:

It’s just another marsh. What’s this infatuation with wet stuff? Flying a seaplane, duh. And, it’s all so intricate. Wouldn’t it be great to explore up close by SeaRey! Attachments:

More marsh? Not just more marsh, it’s deep dark tannin on sand bounded by green. With channels deep enough for Seareys. Attachments:

    It’s just some burned trees.
Maybe, but it was….
“Smoke on the water, fire up in the sky
Burned the place to the ground.”
That’s deep….purple.
Attachments:

It’s a sand mine. It’s a sandy circle. It’s a miner standing in his work staring at the sky. Attachments:

It’s a river bend. True, but it’s full to the brim. So? So, would you land there? No, not now. Maybe later. Attachments:

It is a flooding river! Full of floating debris! It’s not your airplane!
It’s a fast current, and we’re going with it. It’s a brisk wind, and we’re landing into it. No logs in sight. Richard would likely say, “Go for it.”
It’s not the highest risk. How about low flight, no radio, no transponder, random path, and landing in remote streams. That’s tweaking the bureaucrats at CBP and DEA. Does that fit their secret terrorist drug dealer profile? We shall see what twists the tail of the beast. . ..
Attachments:

Ah, Dan. A few months ago I was chatting with some FAA control tower guys... somewhere... and when I asked about landing at a river restaurant just a hundred yards inside their Class C airspace they gave me the Official Answer, which involved calling a certain air traffic control center and then the local control tower. Then one leaned in close while looking in another direction and whispered, 'Turn your transponder off.'

“It’s burst into pieces! It’s broken…and it’s crashing! It’s crashing terrible! Oh my, get out the way please! Oh the mammality! I’m gonna have to stop for a minute because I’ve lost my whiskers. This is the worst thing I’ve ever witnessed.” Herbert Morrison Beaver.
Or maybe it’s just debris in a stream.
Let’s hope so, for Beaver’s Sake.
Attachments:

Oh it’s just another mine. Or it’s a grownup sandbox for older kids that never grew out of their fascination with digging in the dirt, scooping sand with giant shovels and generally painting sand sculptures on a canvas larger than the Sistine Chapel.
Such aerial ruminations ended at the Hattiesburg Chain airport, MS (KHBG) after 8.5 fine flight hours. To be continued to the Pacific Ocean and beyond. Hopefully. If CBP, DEA or RISK don’t catch us.
Attachments:

Good fun! As usual I enjoyed the twists and turns of your 'Puffed up' imagination!
