Description: Coming back from Seoul we had a medical emergency and diverted to Anchorage, everyone else went to bed, I hauled ass and went back out to the airport to the museum.

    I walked in when they were at lunch, someone saw my QB hat and invited me to have a burger. Got to talking, I said I was scouting for a someday trip with my SeaRey, one of the gents said "SeaRey? Jim Ratte helped me build mine."

And that's how you make new friends in the small world of aviation.

    The sad part was on the way back, I had the Uber driver drop me off at Fred Meyer and told him I'd walk back to the hotel, only about 2 miles. Driver turned around and said "Oh no you're not. I'll wait for you." On the drive back I saw why, the tweakers were out. In fact, one of the outdoor airplanes had been broken into the night before and there was drug paraphernalia scattered inside.      Attachments:
