Aw, bummer, Dave! I remember many happy hours in that hangar, cheering on John Dunlop when his engine wouldn't start--bad sprag clutch, I think. Are you going to rebuild it?

We sold the property to eldest son Greg a year ago.
Lynn and I are living here until we can't manage
or until he retires, in 6 years, whichever comes first.
Not yet sure if the frame is salvageable .

So you just answered my last question! That's sad to see!

Gosh, that brings back great memories, Dave and Don!
Sorry and very surprised to see that the open-ended Coverall could not take the snow, whereas the boat shed is
unscathed!?

It was a wild storm and the snow was moisture laden. I expected the fabric to give way first.
It didn't ! The topmost aluminium center beam buckled and the whole shebang caved in on
it's self. The force of the buckling arches crushed a 23' Legend fishing boat belonging to a neighbour.
Our grandson's ski boat is basically untouched. We are still digging out all the other stuff stored there.

Now that I’m back at The Frozen Tundra, I researched snow weight… type of snow (temperature is a

factor) impacts the

weight.

Good info Mark - coincidentally I have a claim against my solar installer as they placed solar panels on an upper roof without snow
guards, that therefore dumped snow on a lower roof, and the weight caused leakage in the support attachments on the lower roof
due to she massive slide of snow on to the lower panels.
End result was water fall into my family room and they refused to take responsibility for the damage.
