Description:
After departing KIMM I flew over Lake Trafford. One particular gator
was giving me the evil eye so I landed. He didn't flinch as I pulled up
to him. :-)

There are four in the picture when I am on the water. I had to extend my landing twice so I wouldn't hit one.

Wayne, now you've got me wondering whether it would be worse to hit a gator or a floating log about the same size. Probably the log--but either would be bad for a seaplane.

I think I would take my chances with a log. Only because if the damage was to the extent where you had to make a swim for it, the
log wouldn't eat you.

Maybe the water where I live (Maine) freezes in the winter (though it's been late this year), but at
least I don't have animals in it that could bite me. (Unless I step on a snapping turtle.)

Good point Bruce! Plus he wouldn't be in a good mood after being slapped on the back! :-)
