Whatever the adversity, choosing a calmer path can leave longer lasting marks.

Tropical moisture is part of summer in Florida. You have to learn to stay ahead of the storms if
you're going to fly in the hot, humid afternoons.

It can be visually tempting to stay out as long as possible.

And one last late splash can be difficult to resist.

And once on the water there is a sense of calm that is alluring.

Even the gathering storms are cause for pause.

Fortunately the scattering of storms leave a way back home.

It's a great feeling when you get back home before getting an unwelcome storm rinse while wringing
out as much of the day as possible.

Great pictures Dan. The green flight track history line is too cool.

Thanks, Bill. Did you notice tracks to Gator Field? Unfortunately no one was home, so it was just a stop-n-go. Also, I hope this
tracking record disproves those allegations about my inability to fly in a straight line!

There was someone home. Our new resident on the hill described a mostly white Searey flown by someone with impressive flying skills. I guessed it was you. Thanks for stopping by.

    Gorgeous pics, Dan.

Thanks, Dennis. We're sending this depression north so I hope you don't inherit these clouds.

I initial photo looks like a painter's masterpiece. The painter's name must be Mother Nature. Great Px , Dan!

You are so right, Wayne. As you demonstrated in your Light Tunnel picture, she's the master artist.

Your photos Dan are terrific--and a whole lot better than looking at the radar, at least for the last several days!

Thanks, Frank. This storm has an incredibly big reach. Maybe we'll get rid of Christobal this week.

Here in SWFL on Monday am Dan, it's mostly sunny and clear.

    Beautiful shots Dan.

Gorgeous shots, Dan. The topmost shot interests me mechanically as well, because the smooth water reflects the underside of the cloud and in effect lets you see farther ahead than the straight-on horizontal view from the cockpit. I hadn't thought about glassy water as an aid to navigation before.
