Description: This is one of my all-time favorite SeaRey pictures. Unfortunately, I don't know who took it--found it almost twenty years ago on an earlier incarnation of the SeaRey Technical Site. If you happen to know whose it is, please let me know by replying here.

To see it full size (as with all photos here) just click on it until it won't get any larger. It may be taller than your screen if you're using a traditional computer and you'll need to scroll up and down to see it all. On a phone, turn it sideways and then scroll.
Date Taken: circa 2000
Place Taken: Unknown. Maybe Florida.

Pretty sure Daniel Meyers took this, I was the lead aircraft. Bill Furr, Joe Becker, Joe Friend, i think.
It was a group heading to Kermits place for a Seaplane flyin. I think May 2006 or 2007. I am sure Daniel can
tell us more! BTW one of my favorites as well!

My record of the photo shows a date of Sept. 26, 2009. There were at least 9 SeaReys approaching Lake Agnes.

Found it--or something like it--by searching for "lake agnes photo" (without the quotes). The Reply by Russ Garner indicates that the top photo on the page is part of the shot and Russ posted the original photo his Reply. But Russ's photo appears to be the same as Daniel's, except that the filename is different. Daniel's is "Picture_833.jpg" and Russ's is "8 SeaReys and 1 in tow 2009 09 261".

This time "Hal Brown" was Daniel Paul Myers. Hal Brown is a friend of mine. He's not a pilot, but has been a member here about 15 years and during the Great Migration from MyFamily was credited erroroneously for many, many photos posted by other members. He took this photo of Brett Smith following me on a pond in Massachusetts, in 2005, and several others that were posted on that earlier version of Splash & Dash.

I still count only six SeaReys in both photos. So it's likely that the Great Migration also screwed up the linking of the two photos on that page--but I'm not sure which is the actual original photo. Maybe Russ can find his shot with "8 SeaReys and 1 in tow 2009 09 261."

By the way, there's no sense in getting grumpy about these few photo screw-ups. Don White figured out how to get the entire STS and Splash sites off of the old MyFamily server, when even the MyFamily techs couldn't do it. Then he built our current STS and Splash sites (and many others) from scratch, but keeping the original MyFamily architecture but using different software. So Don's the hero of the Great Migration.

(If you use the Firefox browser and want a thrill (of sorts), you could go to that page and do Command+i on a Mac or, I think, Ctrl-I in Windows. That will open up a new window with technical info about the page. Click on the Media tab there and you should see info about images and other things on the page.)
