We were invited into the restricted area by the US Air Force, Frank. We were demonstrating the stealth capabilities of the classic
Searey Bomber. Ken, you were very observant noticing that the "pontoon" was missing. We did replace the sponsons with ordnance.
We actually flew low and slow and dropped the bomb with a delayed fuse to give us time to climb to this unusually high altitude. The
premise of the demonstration was to show when the enemy radar picked up an object near the ground traveling at a mere 70 mph
they would never think that it was an airplane, let alone a lethal bomber!

    Wayne,

All that sounds like a Dan Nickens tale, tho somewhat shorter.
