    DH-82. I was getting checked out in the one I was going to buy in 2008 when United furloughed almost 1,400 pilots. The next day the owner graciously offered to let me back out of the deal, we negotiated a kill price (for his time checking me out and aircraft rental), and shortly afterward the economy crashed.

The good part was that a hangar opened up at Bellingham, I jumped on it, and after thinking it over, decided to buy the SeaRey instead. Never looked back.

OspRey is tentatively scheduled to be painted in December.
