Reminds me of a NOAA weather announcer up here many years ago, before they went robot. Instead of saying "becoming cloudy", he'd say "cloudin' up".

Looks like a special frosty windscreen to soften the light while lining up with rainbows.

It sure didn't feel frosty, Buck. The temp was around 90F, and the "frost" kept moving slowly up the windscreen. It had been that way for about 10 minutes by rainbow time, as I was dodging between clouds at around 800-1800 feet that the AWOS claimed were "scattered," trying to get past a line of them and into the traffic pattern. There was no angst at all--it was absolutely lovely, and I always had an easy out. So I was having great fun in the smooth air. Then suddenly this rainbow appeared directly in front of me. It was a sublime moment. Maybe I'll try to make a mooovie from the video.
