Years ago there was a saying: ""his writing is written rotten"". No offense Wayne but this is not ""Frank's Private Island"". It's called Connie Mack Island, after the former legend in baseball Connie Mack who owned it as a favor to Thomas Edison who wanted to grow shrubs for the Edison Winter Estate in FMY. There are about a hundred properties, including maybe 2 dozen condos. It is a lovely place to live and build SeaReys.
Neighbors are constantly telling me they waived to me as I overflew the community; at which point I always have to explain that it was not me, but Wayne (or Ron, or both), altho on occasion I did do a flyby.
BTW Wayne your photo is great.

Except for the "" 's"" implying that the Island is mine. I'm just fortunate to pay taxes here.

Kevin, I've yet to find a way to make it a home for my SeaRey. There are (at least) two issues. One is brackish water. Our waterways are not far from the tidal waters of the Gulf which in fact is seen in the upper left hand corner of Wayne's photo. The other is Mangroves which are protected and consume the entire water front local to our house at least, so no beach. A probable third in my case is that any attempt to place a dockage design of some sort to our boat dock would either protrude into the channel or interfere with neighbors on either side. Not saying it's impossible, but on the other hand, my hanger offers lots of space for tools, supplies, security and a place to work which is what I usually do on the SR. And, its' sort of my Hanger Cave.
