Description: I had the pleasure of landing at the Sir Kenneth Leonard International
Seaplane Base north of TPA on my way home from Sun N Sun. The
Air Traffic Controller (Becky) as wonderful. Her guidance was point
on as I taxied into the sun from the lake to the tie down area. After a
smooth run up the perfect ramp, I was greeted by the ground crew(
Sebastian). The landing fee was waived and the facilities were
superb.I was even offered a free bottle of water upon entering the
FBO.

Great looking SPB! (But it's not fair that the weather is so nice.)

You know you are welcome any time Wayne! For anyone wanting to visit, our house is in the SW corner of Lake Church
which is 1.5 NM @220 from the southernmost point of Lake Keystone SPB. It's an hourglass shaped lake and is 2000' East to West.
We have the flag and windsock next to the ramp. If we hear you fly over, we can monitor gator freq (123.375).

The wonderful Air Traffic Controller (Becky) was Ken's daughter and the ground crew(Sebastian) is
her 3 yr. old cute little boy! :-)
Sebastian's nose was glued to the window when I pulled up. Definitely a future pilot.

It isn't fair, is it Don. Here in the northeast (Maine), we've had a cold, windy, snowy/rainy, lousy spring so far. I'm about ready to pack up and head to Florida myself.

Come on down Mark! I flew to Peter O Knight airport in Tampa today and saw hundreds of places
where you can build a house!! :-)

On another note regarding SKLI....Isn't it wonderful that 2 flyable planes can be sitting in the back
of a normal sized development
back yard! Seaplanes are liberating!
