If you click on the photo, it should be right side up. I don't know how to fix it.

I'm working on some enhancements so you can turn your photo the correct way. Should be sometime in October.

Lake church (or church lake on some maps) is 8 NM north of TPA. (Under the class B floor) Feel free to stop for a drink, stretch, bathroom or whatever. I know you're just getting started on the trip, but you are welcome. 813-416-7744 cell

What is this like while step taxiing Daniel ? Have you done any reasonably fast slalom turns ? Is it any worse than getting a sponson in our SRs ?

It's surprisingly pretty docile. When the hull is on top of the water there is Plenty of clearance. It doesn't need nearly as much cross control and because of the hull design, it can turn much sharper in my opinion.

It would be interesting to see a side-by-side comparison. Using aggressive techniques and new ailerons the SR can turn with any seaplane. Maybe we should set up some head-to-head fun-tests.

If you get weathered in somewhere, Daniel, how about posting a comparison between the Super Petrel and the Searey. I'm especially interested in what it feels like to fly the Super P--and what the view is like from the pilot's seat. The Seamax I sat in at SNF seemed always to be in my line of sight. And how practical the S.P. is for docking--not that Searey is great for docking. How does its slightly shorter hull take rough water? Do you notice all those wings in flight? And how does the high aspect ratio of the two wings compare with the Searey's one fat wing for takeoff and landing? Can it do gear-down water landings without any excitement? Typical cruise speed. Doors v. sliding canopies. Etc.
