Description: Carol and I had lunch at Charley's excellent restaurant at KJGG (Williamsburg VA), where there was a ""Warbirds and Seaplanes Fly-in,"" then splashed at Tommy Crump's place on the James River for his first beach party of the year. Here it is, just getting under way. (Not shown, several boats anchored off the right of the photo and a DJ off to the left.)

A few late afternoon thunderstorms popped up to the west but passed south of Tommy's place. Later on we dodged a few more on the way home, about 8 miles upstream. But that's one of the lovely things about flying a seaplane: We were over the runway all the time and in a pinch could have taxied home.
