Do you just glide on or do you need to winch it up? How do you get out and to the shore without getting wet? On the
other side of the equation, how do you pre-flight without getting wet?

Ditto on how you get it up on the EZDock. I am think about incorporating one into a float dock. I am building at my
new water property.

I have the remains of one of these docks a Searey guy ""modified"" to fit his Searey. The dock sank after he cut open the
end to better fit the hull. So he filled the dock with Mike bottles and foam and tried that. It sank over a year or two.
So he gave it to me and I cleaned out the stinky bottles and foam and injected high end expanding foam. It floats, but I
would never cut one open myself. These things are insanely expensive when you add all the crap you need for it to be
functional like anchors, clears, rubber attachments between docks, etc. the only advantage I see is if your water level
changes a lot. IMO, you need at least 4 units to support a Searey steadily in weather AND be able to preflight and do minor
maintenance. That's going to be over $10K

Hey Ken.....I have two of these docks....one is a T......20' out to a 8' x 30' section and the second dock is simply 30' out with two boat
lifts on the side. The easy way to make a Jet Ski friendly adaptation is not to cut, but simply remove the plug in each section( unit ) and
partially fill with water to create a sloping ramp. Works well !! The same method would work for an a/c ramp. Yes, the individual units
are expensive....but no mtce....easy to remove....and adjust themselves to changing water levels. Why anybody would cut them is
beyond me. Jet Float has a great explanation on their web site. I figure I could build a SeaRey friendly Jet Float dock for $ 3000.00.

A less elegant solution--but also a lot less expensive--is to use dock floats. They come in many shapes and sizes. The ones I have are 2x2x4 feet and cost about $70 a piece. (Thanks to Eric for suggesting a supplier.)

There's also the boat lift air tank floats that rise and sink as you pump in or let out air. Here's an example (probably not the best price): http://www.scottcomarine.com/float_tanks.html
