I'm now back to work on my SeaRey Kit# 1DK175 after taking a year off to get the houseboat remoldeled. I just got the engine running last week and it feels like pure power for vertical take off, the Jabiru 3300 sounds great. Hope to have in the air before the EAA Fly-in. That should be an interesting engine on a SeaRey. You'll have to keep us posted on the performance.

    Hi Roberta;
Over the last few years I've been following your work, I must say I'm very Impress--But why a RV over a SeaRey? I guess we all have different needs and dreams and looks like you will always find yours.
Hi Jerry,
I guess the RV was always my first choice, but maybe not as a first build. I liked the SeaRey, but our lakes in SE Wisconsin are heavily restricted. It was so fun trying to find lakes that the boats weren't chasing me away. Had I lived on a lake, I may have kept it. Distant relatives and the desire to do more cross country (quickly, Dan) led me to the RV. Maybe someday when I can afford two planes, I'll build another SeaRey.
