OK folks, I need help here. We are going to have a 'Combat dining out' (CDO) in mid-July. It's a highly classified military secret, but I'll risk my security clearance to spill the beans: It's a chance for the unit to blow off steam and they can get mighty rowdy. Now, I will admit, I've only been to one, about 22 years ago and being so young, the older Sargents made darn sure I had a good time...consequently, I have very little memory of what went on. I do remember 'water pistols at five feet', flying rolls & water balloons, a lot of reciting verses from memory where the penalty (and reward) for getting it wrong (or right) was heavy drinking. There will be no alcohol this time, but I have heard that at the last CDO my unit (Detachment 5) earned quite a reputation for inventiveness. Obviously, I cannot allow Det 5's reputation to be besmirched! I wondered why I got all the knowing winks & nods when I got here! I'm asking for ideas: Who can send me a 'super soaker' (or several), I need water balloons, I need a really big model F-16 or even better, an inflatable F-16. (although a plastic model might look pretty funny with some of the parts on upside down - I'll build it) If I can get the fighter, I want a recording of a chitty-chitty bang-bang type car to play with the F-16 (don't forget, Det 5 flys heavies, not pointy jets) Any ideas for making sparks come out the back of the fighter would be good. Anything to tease the following communities: Fighters, Cops, Civil Engineers, Air Traffic Controllers, fighters, Radio Repair folks, fork lift operators, truck drivers, fighters, helicopters, Army, Generals & Colonels...none is protected!

Ken, I'm 'retired' with a hobby shop... can't do much about the squirt guns/balloons but I have some F-16 stuff, nothing real big but I'll look around. Email me an APO and I'll send some stuff to play with....<br />chasaero@yahoo.com

Wups, this wasn't supposed to go to this web site. I've got a family site here too and I must have posted to the wrong place. Sorry about that. Please disregard.
