The subject of SeaRey hats noted recently. Upon ordering my kit I was presented with the distinctive SeaRey hat which I was very appreciatrive of. However it seems I am to well endowed with cranial matter and it does not addequately cover the head. Therefore I recently asked the donor if a distinctive SeaRey patch was available that I might sew on a suitablle hat or appropriate jacket. Was told there was not but if sufficient interest was shown one might be de4signed and produced? Anyone else?

Yep .......... we need a patch to put on our leather jackets. John D. or someone else that has permission to reproduce the Searey logo .........what do you think?

I and others seem to agree. 'Lets go John'.

Well I was rather hoping that you or others would provide a nice design, perhaps the plane and the name 'SeaRey'. Perhaps we could have a competition for the best design?.... Once we have a design I'll have it costed at Archbold's. Then we need a minimum number of orders to keep the cost down. Twenty-five would be nice but I expect we won't have that many. Go for it Vic!

johnny, martha said that she would submit a design. maybe others can do so and we can all pick one, or take the best ideas from the ones submitted.

Though I salute Martha's design as aesthetically pleasing, it might be difficult to transpose onto a simple patch. Sacrificing art for form, here's an alternative. Attachments:

Hmmm....that makes sense. Since a patch can be have more detail than a simple logo maybe Russ and Lou Ann could do something with the excellent drawing made for the SeaRey fly in. See www.searey-flyer.com for an example. They had an excellent t-shirt drawing for their first several fly ins. Attachments:

Nice design Dan. Should look good on a 3 in. round patch. If we could somehow portray both land and water function in the background under the aircraft silhouette(neutral/black) and 'SeaRey' -'Fluid Flight' lettering with military style velcro attachment. With unanimous concent John could go into discount production.
