I was sitting below deck on my old Chris Craft today watching the forth chapter of the Ken Burns PBS Civil War collection. The one about July 1863 and RE Lee's big mistake. I've seen it a hundred times before. 'Blue Magic' is moared in the Indian River at a bar estraunt in the shadow of the north bridge in Vero Beach. Its also about two miles off the end of runway 29L so we get lots of air traffic. I land here often and the restraunt wants to put its logo on the side of my rey. Anyway, I've neglected the boat for two months, ever since I got the Searey. I gave her some serious TLC today, and it helped me shake off the hangover from the Halloween party last noc. Besides it was too windy to fly, I thought. The lap of the water and sway of the boat and the sounds of Gettysburg were pulling my eyelids shut when I heard a pleasant and familiar sound. I pulled open the curtains and there was a lovely Searey flying overhead up the river at about 300 ft. I grabbed the binoculars but he was too far away to see the colors or N number. It might have been blue and white. He did a couple 360s a mile north and then proceded on his way. Whoever you are, I just wanted you to know you looked gooood. And I wanted you to know that some of us below know the thrill you were experiencing first hand. I wish I was up there with you, but hey, one vice at a time.      Attachments:

O.K. you caught me, was looking for a blonde and a dog on your deck, but didn't see either. I love that Chris Craft, it's a real beauty. Here's my new toy, it's being picked up in Ft. Lauderdale tomorrow morning.      Attachments:

heh heh, its spelled blonde. The lucky boxer was with me but the blonde was, what else, ..... shopping. Be warned, your boat will be much more of a money sink than the searey. Your boat looks like a great have-fun boat. I like the upper station and multipurpose cockpit for fishin or partying. <br />Was that you flying over Vero? We have a couple of restraunts on the water, if you dont mind saltwater.

I must confess, I am still in Canada with snow flurries falling. The boat is going to Bermuda for summer fun. I would love to be in Florida right about now, I guess I'll just have to wait untill March.

Dave, it's actually someone's house on a point in Lake Huron, the point is real narrow there. The glare came from the water on the other side, I snapped the picture exactly when I shouldn't have : (
