Doug,<br />Tom no longer owns this plane, I do think that it's located in the Orlando area, although I don't know who owns it.

I'm thinking the insurance company owns it, Rick. You might contact Bill Widden at the Orlando Apopka airport (X04), Doug, to check on its current status.

Thanks for the help Dan. I'm sitting in a hotel in downtown Athens, wondering if there are any Searey's here. I've checked John Dunlop's list to no avail, but there has to be at least one Searey in the Greek Isles somewhere!... If you know of any, let me know, otherwise I may have to resort to flying the islands in some sort of DH.

While you were in Greece, you missed a great day of flying patrol on the St Johns. Rest assured, the river's still here. Be careful flying the inland areas because you need a plane that has a great climb rate... especially if you are trying to fly at our normal Searey altitudes! However the Greek waters are beautiful.

I'll miss this weekend also Randy. We're at a really neat island of Kos this weekend, and will be returning on Monday. I have not seen ANY GA type aircraft in Athens, or the Islands I've been to yet. Very depressing, but the scenery is great.

Rick there are supposed to be up to 20 twin otters on floats operating between the Greek islands. They are a subsidary of Harbour air in Vancouver and have placed an order for a another dozen or so making them the largest commercial seaplane operator. I was on a cruise through the Meditaranen in Feb. and did manage to see one twin otter.

Thanks Fred. I did see an advertisment at one of the tour stores for a twin otter ride, but I was on my way to Kos. In 10 days (4 in Athens, 6 in Kos) I only saw one GA aircraft, and that was a helicopter. What a shame, although with fuel at 1.30 Euro's per litre, I can understand some of the reason. Oh, yes Jon, my hotel on Kos was on the beach, and regular walks for exercise were required.

Let's see - 1.55 Dollar per Euro and 3.7 litre per gallon. That works out to $7.45 per Gallon - Yikes!! There is a good reason to fly a Searey!!
