Here is one new toy from Finland to stay beside other watertoys one may have...deliveries should start this summer. They are showing it on aero2011 show.Flynano's plane is totally regulation free here in Europe as it's empty weight is under 70kg. So you dont need any licence or registration at all...<!-- >'"><br><font color=red size=6>' or &gt; missing in user HTML. Please fix the HTML.</font> -->      Attachments:

Yes, I also would like to see it flying. Those who are behaind this have kept very low profile as I have not seen or heard about this before yesterday. Designer is known here in Finland and he has done some other own designs also. But for sure I try to see that one in live and flying during this coming summer. They say that first is already sold and flying...      Attachments:

Very, very cool! Are you sure about the regulations?

Markku Salminen - Apr 16,2011   Viewers  | Reply
Yes B&#229;rd, I'm sure. EASA Annex2 includes cathegory for planes under 70kg with fuel. That has no regulations from EASA. At least Finland has adjusted our aviation law like so that airplanes under 70kg with fuel are not regulated and those dont need any registration or pilot licences. Of course you need to follow aviation law and stay out of controlled airspace for example. Also it may be hard to get any insurance and so on...

Can some one convert that to USA $ and measurements? Dam metric system. Why did they stop the change over to metric back in the 80s?

Because Jimmy didn't have the guts to see anything through.<br />To convert anything, go to google and type 'convert 17 kilos to lbs' (or whatever you want to convert)

    From EAA article: Prices range from €25,000 to €27,000 ($36,250-$39,150) with a trailer/storage box at €5,300 ($7,685).

Another bit of info<br /><a href="http://www.wired.com/autopia/2011/04/flynano-personal-aircraft/">http://www.wired.com/autopia/2011/04/flynano-personal-aircra<br>ft/</a><br /><br />Looks like any type of accident sends the pilot towards the prop or prop pieces towards <br />the pilot. With ' no training required ' this should keep lawyers happy. However, 'as <br />long as you keep the weight of everyone aboard to less than 200 kilos (440 pounds) <br />you can take it up to an altitude of almost two miles', looks like you can take your <br />buddies.<br />
