Today, thanks to the inspiration and tips from David Geers, Russ Garner and others, I got the <br />GoPro to work.<br /><br /><br /><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B80khs-kysU">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B80khs-kysU</a>

There you go Frank looks great. Just a few tips. I notice the video is a little foggy looking. I don't know which model gopro you have but the plastic case will fog up after awhile from the heat the gopro develops as it runs. I don't intend to use the round lens plastic case that came with my Hero 2 camera in the water because I also purchased the waterproof case with the flat lens face. To eliminate the fog from round lens case I drilled a bunch of small vent holes in the bottom of the plastic door on the back of the case to vent it. This eliminated the fogging problem. I use a wifi back and my Nexus 7 tablet to control the camera from inside the plane. The battery life of the wifi back is not long. I added a small battery pack that holds four AA batteries that I made up from Radio Shack parts. I strap this battery pack to the camera mount and plug it into the wifi back to extend the battery life. I'm also making up another one to do the same for the camera battery. The four AA batteries supply 6 volts which is about the same as the battery charger for the cameras puts out so it works fine. You can find the mini USB cords with the right plug and cords at Radio Shake also, I had some around the house that I used. You need to solder the two power wires from these plugs to the battery pack. You also will have to drill holes in the plastic gopro case for these plugs also.

Thanks for the tips Russ. I have the Hero 3 Black. I'm using the "partial case" not the water proof one. So im not sure why its not as clear and sharp. Controller is my iPhone with GoPro Ap. Works well but not 100% reliable. For example, I get a "battery low warning" then the battery runs another 25 minutes filming!<p>I've also tried the GoPro headset patch cord with videoing from the cockpit, and the ATC audio is great.. I don't plan on running a cable out the wing however.<!-- >'"><br><font color=red size=6>' or &gt; missing in user HTML. Please fix the HTML.</font> -->

Now send it to *Movie Maker* and add some background music. Good job Frank, you are progressing well !

Russ,I did some tests today and found that the foggy was due to a dirty cover lens. The cover with the access holes in it. What a difference.<p>Dave,I've been using the Mac and GoPro applications but still experimenting. Both are time consuming.<!-- >'"><br><font color=red size=6>' or &gt; missing in user HTML.     Frank, I thought it might be something on the lens. Lets see your video. I paid for AVS4you software and have used it for a long time.
