OK Guys and Gals, step up to the plate. How old are you? Reply to the AGE Poll. This is an anonymous poll

Don Maxwell - Sep 01,2004 Viewers | Reply
Jeff, why do you want to know?

Jeff Arnold - Sep 01,2004 Viewers | Reply
Well, I dont know.....It's just a thought that popped into my head and I decided to author a poll. Aren't you curious to see the age distribution of our Searey community? I am.

Don Maxwell - Sep 02,2004 Viewers | Reply
Jeff, are you planning to produce a report giving the age range of SeaRey pilots, the median, the mean, the mode, and all that other stuff? The standard deviation might be most interesting.

Dave Edward - Sep 02,2004 Viewers | Reply

Waiting for kit to arrive - hope Hurricanes don't cause too much delay. Age 59

Kenneth Leonard - Sep 02,2004 Viewers | Reply
Gents. The SURVEY is under the POLLS section on the main web page. If you put your ages down on this thread, then Jeff has to enter them himself.

Jim Thomas - Sep 02,2004 Viewers | Reply
    Jeff,

Are you rubbing my nose in my increasing age by creating this poll on my birthday? <g>

Jeff Arnold - Sep 03,2004 Viewers | Reply
    Just coinsidence Jim. Happy Birthday!!

Jim Thomas - Sep 05,2004 Viewers | Reply
Sure it is, Jeff.... <g> Thanks for the good wishes!

Rick Oreair - Sep 02,2004 Viewers | Reply
So, I'm 53, my dad is 81, and brother 52, so do I average the age and put that number in???? And should I weight the results based on time each has flown?? The wx stinks, so I guess we have too much time on our hands!

Jeff Arnold - Sep 03,2004 Viewers | Reply
Rick, each person should enter separately. I would say that 'FLYING A SEAREY' involves more than holding the stick for a few minutes. In order to fly a Searey, you need to be able to take off, and land.

Dave Edward - Sep 03,2004 Viewers | Reply
    Happy Birthday jim !!

Paul Friddell - Sep 03,2004 Viewers | Reply
Aw Gee, I hate to face up to the fact that I'm 72. Flyin' the SeaRey makes me feel like a kid. I guess that's why I keep it around.

Charlie Huskey - Sep 03,2004 Viewers | Reply
HANG IN THERE JAY, you make me feel like a kid at 63.

Jeff Arnold - Sep 03,2004 Viewers | Reply
    Jay,

Its been said that you are only as old as you feel. Since flying the Searey makes you feel like a kid, I would say that you have found the fountain of youth! Can flying a Searey make you imortal?

By the way, I made the Poll anonymous so that no one would HAVE to admit their age.

Charlie Huskey - Sep 03,2004 Viewers | Reply
DON`T have to identify myself, HECK I`m proud to have made it to 63.

Jack West - Sep 03,2004 Viewers | Reply
    O.K. JEFF, I'LL 'FESS UP' , I AM 81
TELL JAY NOT TO WORRY...

Jeff Arnold - Sep 03,2004 Viewers | Reply
Jay, Jack, according to the replies to the Poll to this point, we don't have anyone over 69.

Nihl Storey - Oct 31,2004 Viewers | Reply
Jack: nice to see that you are still around. I admired your beautiful YELLOW SEA REY at Osh Kosh but did not see you. I hope you are well and your wifes surgery went well. My plane is about half built, don't know if I will make Sun-N-Fun or not. Nihl C. Storey, Jackson, MI

    Dan,

Thanks for sharing. Hopefully you have answered the poll which is at the bottom of the home page. This thread is just a discussion about the poll. Jay and Jack have admitted to being 72, and 81, but aparantly have not answered the poll as there are no respondants in those age groups. Guys answer the poll.

Gentlemen: Frank G. has a sticker on his Searey that says, 'Old age and treachery beats youth and skill everytime.' How serious could he be when the sticker on the other side says 'My other toy has t$*'s. He's 71.

    6:00pm Sunday
Sitting in the north eye wall or Frances all day will age you a little. Now the back side is coming in and the wind is from the east. We have been lucky so far no property damage and my plane is snug as a bug. Bruce, I hope you and Judy and all those in the path of Frances are well and you suffer no loses from this big storm.
Jim Thomas - Sep 05,2004 Viewers | Reply
We've been lucky, too. Our power, phones, cable and water have soldiered on. My celphone crapped out yesterday, which means I'll hafta go thru the hassle of checking out all the plans...

Oops, we just noticed a branch on a wire which is arcing a little. They say they aren't coming out 'til the weather is better. I guess we'll hafta keep our fingers crossed a bit longer.

Glad to see everyone's OK, I was a bit worried about y'all, Russ. Your area looks like it got the eye.

In my 51 years -all of 'em here - I've never experienced such a slow moving 'cane.

I'm 51....look about 51, feel about 19, act about 16, and hope to be shot in the ass at the age of about 97, by some irate husband, as I lift off from the water in my 690 lb. SeaRey, with a set of 34 'double-D's' in the seat next to me......Huh ? ... did I say that ?

How about old enough to know better, young enough to try anyway.
