Hi, does anyone have a copy of the settings required for the AF5500 when using the Aera 796 GPS? I
have no original setup information and since the AF5500 screen was fixed we are having problems
getting it to recognize the GPS from the Aera. Any suggestions / diagrams/ notes welcome.

I don't know if this will solve your problem or hopefully you already have it working.
The Maintenance manual Appendix 1 shows the following Initial settings under Admin Settings:
4 Serial Port #1 Function NMEA/AVTN
9 GPS/Nav 1 Data Source Serial Port #1
