If I haven't said it before, this is a fighter community. But we've got lots of different kinds of planes flying here including UAVs. (unmanned air vehicles) They have modified 914s and climb in this heat like a C-152. OK, so we're sitting in the daily brief with the General and the UAV guys starts talking about how the new, upgraded engine is really improving his performance and how the planes 'leaps off the runway now'...the room goes silent for a second until the General (flew F-15s that accelerate vertically) says, 'so, now you climb at what, 150' per minute?' and the place falls apart. Well, the poor UAV guys is just mortified and he thinks it's about as bad as it gets, until someone quietly slips in: 'Yeah, you gotta be carefull there Major, you might black out in your control room.' Nasty me.
