All of you probably know by now Katrina will be hitting New Orleans and Mississippi by tomorrow-Monday. This storm of course hit Southern Florida as a Catagory 1 and did major damage and 11 people were killed.

The hurricanes of last year and even this year have been fierce, and this one looks like the worse one of them all.

I'm sure we all hope they can get through this one. This one will do Major Major damage, and cause major flooding. We have until November when the hurricane season ends. None of us are out of the woods yet!!

Judy B

Good Luck with the rest of the hurricane season Judy. Our place in the Baja got hit 2 years ago. Not pretty.
Guess our cold winters in Canada are not that bad an alternative.

Dave, it seems like everyplace seems to have their own unique weather problems, it all depends on which one you want to live with. We lived in the snow in Pittsburgh Pa, and I grew up in Wilkes-Barre, Pa; so we surely know about the snow & ice. JB

This one looks like a bad on. Last reports I had was that it is still strengthening. Looks like there may enen be some flooding as far north as the Great Lakes. Hope the folks along its path are able to prepare and/or get out of the way in time.
