Mark M., I said in your poll that I'd like to have my SeaRey at Greenville--which is true. But it doesn't necessarily mean I'll actually get it there. I'm definitely aiming for the Glenn Curtiss 'Seaplane Homecoming' at Hammondsport, NY, on September 14-16 and am trying now to figure out if there's reasonable way to combine the two trips. Hammondsport is a whole lot closer to where I live than Maine is, and the timing is awkward. But...

No problem Don, I wasn't sure how else to word those choices. Hope you can make it.

This is the first time I've posted a poll in a long time; the person posting the poll cannot vote themselves? It is closed to me, I cannot vote myself, I'm kinda surprised at that.

Mark - you can vote yourself. You are probably looking at the poll results. Just above that, click on view poll.

Don- Do you have any other info on the seaplane homecoming. in September. I might be able to drop down there on Friday night or Sunday. Saturday afternoon I have to be in Buffalo for a angel flight fundraiser

Kevin, here a link to it: http://www.seaplanehomecoming.org/

It's a relatively new event, and I don't think it's a very big deal, except locally. But I enjoyed the area a couple of years ago (earlier in the summer) and am looking forward to going back for the Homecoming. The museum is quite a good one, with most of Curtiss' important contributions to aviation on display. The town is quaint enough, and the lake is pretty. Hotel rooms there will probably be hard to find by September.

Incidently, Dale Kramer, designer of the Lazair ultralight twin and who lives on the lake, was in a bad sailplane wreck about three months ago, but I understand that he's recovering, though slowly.
