I received notice of a Seaplane splash-in at Long Island Airport on Lake Norman, North Carolina on Saturday September 29. Camping is allowed on Fri and Sat night with Lunch around 11:00 on Sat, and a band Sat. afternoon.

I plan to attend. How about you?
Dennis? Don? Matt? North Florida Squadron?

That sounds good to me but I have to convince my wife. The 26th is our 20th anniversary.

Jeff, I won't be able to make it (FSUvsAlabama football) but I'll check with the NFS. Randy Wilder should have his bird flying by then. He was weighing it on Saturday.

I'm gonna try, it's only 10 minutes from my cove. The SeeBee above is based at Long Island and I was up there today. The next day is my wedding anniversary but Barbara is pretty understanding about these things. Depends if she wants to go somewhere though. There is usually a good turn out and a friendly crowd. The grass strip is about as good as one gets. I hear you can taxi from the water to the strip but I have never figured out how. I just land on the grass - a really cool approach over the lake if you are landing to the west.
Let me know who's coming and what day you are coming in.
