Charlie! I've seen a lot of cool flying and skiing stunts, but this tops them all.

The plane looked like a dragonfly tug that is used to pull up hang gliders. It really surprises me that it has enough power to pull a barefoot skier and also keep the plane under control with that much downward pull on the tail. However it was about as cool of a video that I have ever seen. We will probably see this on TV sometime.

I'm betting we'll see it on the 6 o'clock news when the plane stalls into the lake. But it was cool.

That's an interesting tow bridal. Attached at the top of the vertical fin and at the bottom of the tail. I assumimg there is a snatch block(can I say snatch on S&D?) on the V-bridal to allow the tow plane pitch control. Has anyone seen this kind of set up?

I've seen two Dragonflys with that setup, Joe. But I don't know why they do it that way.

    Hi Charlie:

Stunning stunts! (g)

No matter how 'safety conscious' we are, you have to love it as it brings back memories for all of us as to how 'immortal' we all felt in our late teens and early twenties. (g)

I sure wouldn't want my feet to hit even a popsicle stick during the run if I was the skier.

Best,
Larry

I always wanted a dragonfly to play with, anyone know where I can buy a kit or a used aircraft. I bet it would be a blast on floats.
