As this is my first time flying to Sun&Fun, was wondering if some of you might be flying down there, crossing through S.C. and GA - and give me a chance to tag along.
Also would be nice to have a small Searey group going together...
Marcus

I'm in! I plan on going down. Haven't herd if Garner's is on this year. We'll keep in touch Marcus. Imagine if we could round up Don M, Bill F, Prior J, Dennis S, Tony G, Ed I, Larry R, David B......etc....Mid atlantic could come down in FORCE. How bout it guys??

Marcus, I expect to be flying from Richmond, probably reaching the coast at Savannah or maybe somewhere north of there, depending on the weather and what looks like the most fun. There are lots of possibilities. Joining up at Ridgeland (3J1), for example, would be only 20 or 30 miles farther than your straight line route and a lot more scenic.

I've been frustrated by the weather for several years, so this spring I'm going to be ready to depart up to a week early, take my time on the way, splash in every body of water I come to, and try to say hello to as many SeaReyers as have time for a cup of coffee.

The important thing--for me--is to get there in time for Russ and Lou Ann Garner's Tenth Annual SeaRey Gathering. (Is that on the 19th, Russ--or is it the whole month of April this year?)

Others are probably going, too. Jeff says yes. Dennis S.? Tony? Larry? Ummm... who else? Ed? Aventura Matt? Maybe some of you guys in the northeast and Ontario? Dunlop says he'll still be snowed in, but you never know. Any and all can use Richmond for a stopover if you don't mind roughing it a bit. (Tiny junk-filled house with one actual spare bed and plenty of air mattresses and good cheer.)

I want to go to Garner's this year but I'll have to drive from Umitilla. Any one know the street address and date?

I see on the Searey site that Garner's is ON for Sunday the 19th. Thank you Lou Ann and Russ. Plan to see you there.

I plan to leave Friday morning. I don't have the flexibility to leave a week early like some of our retired brotheren. I could probably leave a day early if weather suggests....

Hope to see lots of you along the way.....

Jeff, The earliest I can leave is Friday as well, maybe Thursday afternoon if needed. Not sure how the rest of the trip falls into place (stops, rooms etc.) but first things first. Kitchen pass has been issued, leave is approved.
Bill

I'm planning on flying down as well and would love to do a formation, or maybe even a loose gaggle flight. I'm only about a half hour north of Don M and have plane parking, bedrooms for several and mogas a block away if anyone wants a stopover in this area. I'm only pushing 80 horses and it might be a challenge to keep up with the 914s but I'm ready for the challenge. I've started working on scheduling leave already.

That would work for me and my slow Aventura II. Your 80hp Searey may still be faster.

I'm pretty sure that I am in.
