Hello everyone! I am cuurently in Montezuma, Ga. It has been a long and fun trip with my dad...and we hope to be home tomorrow. Weather has limited our flying these past few days as we have been following this major front. We got a break today and got in front of it, but afternoon storms forced us to land. Thankfully, we have good friends up here to provide a hangar, and lodging for the night. The 1st day we had a 20-25kt headwind so our GS was between 47-55kts...OUCH. We had to land in a 20kt x-wind in Russellville. The next day wasn't bad when we actually got to fly, and today has been better averaging 82kts GS. Hopefully we can leave at the crack of dawn tomorrow and be home around lunch. I haven't done any water landings yet...so i hope to get a couple done on Lake Weir if conditions allow before I land back at 3FD9. Thanks everyone for all the help and support. I hope to start joining you guys on some more SeaRey adventures! You guys can feel free to call or text if you are curious about the progress we will make tomorrow. And always, I'll be posting stuff when I return home.
take care,
Daniel
321 356 9544

PS
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAY!!!

Daniel - wheels up for flying man (and for the water landing!) Oh, it sounds so obvious, doesn't it? Glad you had an adventure.

Cograts, Daniel, on a beautiful airplane and an excellent landing! As a future Searey owner, I am considering whether to build, or buy used & ready to go. If you have the time, I am curious how you made your decision. What a wonderful life!

If I had the money, I would build one. I would want to build one so I know the aircraft like the back of my hand. Fortunately, I found one at a great price already built. I just got done refurbishing a Kolb with my dad, then sold it so I could afford the Rey. I have always wanted to build one, but I wouldn't have the patience at this point...I just want to fly. If you want one already built, I know of one with everything ready to go brand new for around $26k...or 41k with a 912s it is on barnstormers.com
