Saturday Breakfast at Tavares, Saturday, June 12, 2010<br /><br />Normally I’m not a breakfast guy, but this Saturday there is good cause. Style Magazine is doing a photo shoot at Tavares Seaplane Base. They’d like to see a bunch of SeaReys show up. Target time is 0900.<br /><br />The photographer is Steven Hlavac (<a href="http://www.stevenpaulhlavac.com/">www.stevenpaulhlavac.com</a> ,<a href="http://www.photoasylum.com/">www.photoasylum.com</a> ). There is no payment, but he is offering custom photos of their airplane for anyone who participates.<br /><br />Let me know if you might make it so I can give fair warning to the base.<br />

Tavares is closing the ramp tomorrow to anything but seaplanes for the breakfast crowd. They will pack as many as possible in the parking area, but the beach is also available. The photographer will be in position at 0900 to shoot anyone coming in.<br /><br />The advance guard today checked out Basils for breakfast. The cook is multi-engine rated and makes some great stuff. Basils is one block north and one block west. Ask anyone at the base for directions if you are a late arrival.
