I am a member of the HomeBuiltAirplanes.com forum and have posted there about my intent on getting a seaplane kit. I posted about Glass Goose, Super Petrel and SeaReys a few years ago.
I got a call from a Craig Miller who found my posts and offered to sell me a early Glass Goose called a SeaHawker. I told him that I read up on the Glass Goose and its predecessor the SeaHawker and knew the SeaHawker was not a good flier. but he said that this one had all the upgrades and flys nice. I told him I had a deposit on a searey but my Business was not doing good and was in limbo but asked how much he wanted. He said 25. I said $25,000.00? He said ' Well not $2500.00, the engine is worth more than that. I said 'I did not sound surprised at the price because I thought it was to much, That sounds to cheap. can you send me pics to my e-mail', and he said he would.
I have not got the pics yet.
His phone number is 612-374-5782 if any one wants to pursue it or play me and see how he is going to do the scam.

Now that I am trying to remember to conversation, He might have said $2500.00. not $250.00. Now I'm not sure. All I remember is, it was cheap.

Thomas, why don't you get one or two partners and find an older Searey. That would be cheap and fun flying......

$35,000.00 for a kit or $35,000.00 for half a flying SeaRey is still $35,000.00. What I need is my phone to ring like it did 3 or 4 years ago. or a lottery win.

You can buy an older Searey like Daniel and David Myers did for the twenties.
Half of that would be ten or twelve grand....
