Nicely done video Eric. Especially liked the muted video to allow hearing the
chirp of the wheels on the runway--very neat.

PS: The water alightings were nice too, but awful short, not even long enough
to test the bilge pump!

Is this a Gum Camera on the glare shield?

No, an old Sony minidv camcorder velcroed to the glare-shield.

Love the music you picked. Vince Guaraldi Charlie Brown.

Guaraldi's 1962 album was called 'Jazz Impression of Black Orpheus', and 'Samba de Orpheus' was the first selection released as a single. The B-side was “Cast Your Fate to the Wind,” chosen because it was the only other tune on the album short enough to fit on the 45. A couple of Sacramento disc jockeys are credited with discovering the B-side and playing it, and soon it was on pop radio stations around the country. 'Cast Your Fate to the Wind' became a Gold Record winner and earned the 1963 Grammy as Best Instrumental Jazz Composition.

While searching for just the right music to accompany a planned Peanuts television documentary, Lee Mendelson (the producer of the special) heard a single version of 'Cast Your Fate to the Wind' by Vince Guaraldi's trio on the radio while traveling in a taxicab on the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, California.

Unlike many songwriters who grow weary of their biggest hits, Guaraldi never minded taking requests to play it when he appeared live. 'It's like signing the back of a check', he once remarked.

    Wow,
Thanks for the history on Guaraldi. I love his music. Something to be said about a jazz trio.
