Hi all. I'm just beginning this adventure. Have not even seen a SeaRey in person, and never flew a plane. Like I said, a Newbie. Right now I'm looking to see if there are any owners anywhere near me. I live on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. About 1 hour north of the Bay-Bridge into Virginia Beach, and an hour south of Salisbury Maryland. The good news is I will be in Sebastian Florida in a week, for two months, so I will be looking around down there as well. Thanks all, and if anyone knows of an instructor either here on around Sebastian Florida, let me know.Joe<!-- >'">
' or > missing in user HTML. Joe, Florida is full of SeaReys. But there are a couple of SeaReys about 100 air miles west of you, at KFCI and Lake Anna. Give me a call if you're near Richmond: 804-543-7110. Also, SeaRey flight instruction is planned for W29 (Bay Bridge Airport).

Joe, I'm a little late on the reply but I am in the same boat (searey as you. I live in Baltimore and purchased a kit without flying it or seeing it. I was convinced that it was the plane for me after tons of reaserch on the web. My kit will be delivered any day now. (its already crated and I'm waiting for a delivery day). As mentioned by Don there is another Searey being built by the new mid-atlantic dealer Chesapeake Sport Pilot at Bay Bridge airport. They have a blog about it and you can drop in to the airport and see it. http://www.chesapeakesportpilot.com/searey-blog.asp .

Good luck!

Jeff

Joe - welcome. I'm building a classic in Northern Virginia, out near Dulles airport. Be glad to chat you up about the Searey.
