Nine years after start of build, 3 years after first flight, 125 hours TT and 217 Water Landings,
and forever since she said she'd never go in the water, Ann took her second SeaRey flight and
First Water Alighting. Attachments:

Frank, how romantic, was that her Valentine's day present?

I guess all SeaRey pilots do or at least try Dan; but on the other hand, you of all seem to know how to really do it! :-)

Well Chris, it was a perfect day. 70F, winds=calm, bright blue sky, little to no boat traffic on the river. Conditions: ideal. Ann reports that she enjoyed the flight but thought the takeoff (water) was longer than she imagined (it was and I won't say why). And, is willing to go again. And no Dave, it had nothing to do with Valentine's Day.

I have to explain why Ann had vowed to never go in the water. About 10 years ago at a Sun 'N Fun, i dragged her into a Seaplane talk thinking that I might someday build a SR and this would be a gentle and positive introduction to the concept.I remember not the speaker but by the time he explained every imaginable way of screwing up in a seaplane, the need to carry a sharp knife so you can cut yourself out when your upside down and about to drown, and other curses the befall seaplane folk, she got up, left, and said she'd never fly with me on the water. And Ann does not make needless comments. So, after I started building and found that she had near infinite patience with my living in the basement, I figured I'd apply the same patience and she finally adapted to the idea--first to fly (that was last year) and now to splash. And, over the years of flying real airplanes, I've learned to avoid hijinks and intentionallyscaring passengers. So, it was a good day.

Yea Frank...and Ann. I found that flying with Barbara is way more fun than flying with Tony G.
