Hey everyone,<br />I met an insurance agent at Sun and Fun this year and told him I was paying a lot for liability insurance, with passenger coverage, for my Aventura II experimental amphib. <br /><br />I had heard that there were some others now writing insurance for our kind of planes.<br /><br />I was insured by Specialty Insurance. <br /><br />I did not tell him how much I was paying ($1,100) <br /><br />After about a week or so, he came back with two quotes, both around $450.00. <br />I could not believe it. I now do have the policy. I told him I have a lot of Searey friends and that since the plane is so similar, the cost should be the same.<br /><br />His is name is Corey Maxwell (no relation to the professor) 800-358-8197<br /><br />

I had the same experience with Falcon (meaning they came up <br />with the much better deal). Apparently there is a new <br />underwriter in the market. I posted the information several <br />months ago but no one seemed to pick up on it.
