From the PA web site:

'A Message from Adam Yang, CEO, PA

I feel very honored to be trusted by the shareholders, employees, and the senior management team of Progressive Aerodyne to take the leadership position of SeaRey manufacturing. I accept the huge responsibilities and obligation to our loyal customers, shareholders, employees and SeaRey enthusiasts.

I am joining the company at this pivotal moment of transformation, from a kit airplane manufacturer to a factory-built airplane company. I realize that we need to increase our efforts in several areas to achieve this goal. We are working to refine our quality systems, increase production capacity, expand R&D, increase our market presence, build an effective product distribution system and broaden our customer service.

We are all very passionate about the SeaRey, which is the real thrust moving us forward. To achieve our common goal of carrying on the SeaRey legacy and taking it to a new level, I ask you, the SeaRey enthusiast, to continue with your devotion and support of our team effort. Together, we can do this.

Adam Yang'

Not sure I like the words 'transformation', 'from' and 'to'. I hope that PA will also continue to provide the SeaRey in kit form. New blood and ideas may be just what is needed. Welcome!

Does anyone know, Is Mr. Yang an 'employee' or an owner??

Scott, Our product strategy is to keep and improve the kit, develop into the LSA market.
When we talk about transform, we basically mean that we are going to improve the
operation quality. The certification requires compliance with strict ASTM standards, which
is not mandatory to kit manufacturers.

Are you going to offer the kit after you start building certified LSAs?

I totally understand. Kerry has taken me up in both and I love what the company has done to the SeaRey. My concern is that once it becomes certified, there won't be one left for us little guys to enjoy. Last year I let pass a beautiful SeaRey from a highly respected man because I didn't think I could afford the insurance and a place to put it while paying for the plane also.

As you go forward, which I hope you continue to do, please don't forget that some people live for the build.

We welcomed you to the SeaRey family few years ago Adam when you and your wife flew in to Garner's Landing in a helicopter, what a entrance that was. I think I first met you when we went to lunch from PA with Paige before the move from Orlando, the LSX was still just paper at that time, so a lot has changed but will be in your good hands for the future, welcome aboard.
